Black Velvet Italian Roast

I am a coffee lover. NOT a Starbucks Latte with tons of sugar and milk lover. C-O-F-F-E-E.
A little over 4 years ago we visited a lodge in Durango for a friends wedding and they had a bag of Black Velvet in the kitchen for guests. I am not kidding when I say I almost keeled over with pleasure when I took my first sip. I have been ADDICTED since then!! You guys don't ship to Hawaii (hopefully someday, flat rate boxes yeah??) but now that we are back on the mainland I am looking forward to having my Black Velvet when I need it. Even my kids know which coffee I love. Thanks for making an outstanding product!!

Found this coffee at a quaint little sandwich/coffee shop near Cortez, CO. The name scared me "Black Velvet" thinking it may be bitter and strong. It has a strong hearty taste but a very smooth touch to the tongue. Actually like Velvet. I like a lot of cream and sugar in my coffee but this one I can drink straight black. I love it so much, I order several bags at Christmas and give them as Christmas gifts to my clients! Great coffee!

This coffee is perfectly described. It is extremely dark (which is exactly why I bought it), has a very strong and prominent flavor but it is not bitter. It truly does have a surprisingly smooth finish, so much so I don't see a need to add cream or sugar at all! Hands down, this makes the best cup of black coffee I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.

My wife and I first tried this coffee while on vacation in Mancos, Co. Very rich, full bodied and flavorful. We both love a bold coffee and this one certainly fits the bill. Just ordered some more and we'll be making regular reorders of Black Velvet in the future. Any chance of finding any of your fine coffees in Colorado Springs?

I have been a coffee connoisseur for many years now, and I ran into a young man brewing up some Black Velvet in Vitamin Cottage in Grand Junction. The sample he gave me was so good, I bought a bag. After drinking this at home for about a week now, I have to rate this at the very top of my favorite coffees of all time. It truly does have a complex, smooth, smoky finish. I love this stuff and plan on getting more. Desert Sun, nice job on this one!
