The cultivator, Oscar Alonzo, was a regional pioneer in organic and sustainable farming. He decided to brand his coffee as Cafe CALIFORNEO, standing for “Cafe Limpio, Fuerte, Organico Negociado por Oscar”, or “Clean, Strong, Organic Coffee, Negotiated by Oscar”.
