Ethiopia Sidamo

Straight from the birthplace of coffee, comes this superb Ethiopian Sidamo.  With growing practices as old as the coffee varieties themselves, each tree is fertilized, pruned, weeded and harvested by hand to guarantee that your cup of coffee is brewed from the highest possible quality of bean.  These beans are naturally processed, giving the coffee a uniquely wild flavor. 

As members of Cooperative Coffees, Desert Sun is one of a small number of roasters that had the opportunity to buy this excellent coffee from Sidamo Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union in Ethiopia.  In Sidamo, farmers practice the garden coffee system: coffee grown near homesteads and planted at low densities, usually intercropped with enset (false banana).  Thank you for making a difference by choosing Certified Organic, Fairly Trade and bird-friendly coffee.
