Half of the world’s remaining gorilla population lives in the mountains of central Africa. These mountains are lush with tropical forests and fresh water lakes. At the base of the Ruwenzori Mountains dubbed, “the mountains of the moon” lays Lake Kivu. This region is home to a diverse group of wild animals and a people still reeling from years of conflict. Supporting these coffee farmers is helping to bring stabilization to the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is also helping to promote environmentally responsible tactics that will preserve the land and its many wonders for future generations.
